I’ve always liked Twitter as a way to connect with people from all around the globe and share ideas etc. Facebook is useful as we have family and friends all around the place, so it is a great way to keep in contact and feel a part of each others lives. However, Instagram was something that I’d never really used that much.
Until today…
I set up a new instagram account based on My 3Es and My Journey so I can share my articles and videos more widely, but didn’t think it would lead to much. But then, in stepped my wife, who showed me how it can be such a positive tool to use, and I’ll be honest I did not expect that level of results so quickly.
With the use of hash tags (I used best-hashtags.com for some inspiration) I instantly saw likes. Although I try my best not to look at those kind of metrics as a sign of success, it’s also hard to ignore it when they do come in.
I’ve also set Instagram up to post to my Facebook Page, and used an IFTTT command to post the picture to my Twitter account to. This video really helped me to get the IFTTT command sorted!
This means that I can now generally use Instagram to post out my content rather than duplicating the process for each media channel. You gott love some automation in your life!!
